Restaurant for the hungry barbarians

In Tallinn, a medieval restaurant was opened.

Usually it pisses me off if you are advised to "definitely visit" a restaurant. Well, food and food are about the same everywhere. Today I advise myself: if you are in Tallinn, do not dare to miss Olde Hansa. You have not been to such a place.

The first wow is the interior. Real candlelight, as in the old days. Because of this, twilight reigns in the restaurant even during the day. In the evening, I think, real beauty.

The furniture is also authentic: roughly knocked down tables and goat-footed creaky chairs.

And murals, murals everywhere.

In a word, naturalness rolls over and captivates. It is natural, the walls just painted and painted new paintings. The building is hundreds of years old, Old Hansa stands on an old street of the historic center.

No wifi. No outlets. I would pick up the phones.

When the company arrives, the waiter offers to order a "feast". It's kind of a buffet, eat until you burst. You will be brought again and again meals and drinks, at a fixed price.

Due to the darkness, I didn’t even manage to photograph food. I will try to describe the dishes in words. They gave mainly game: dried moose, azo from wild boar, salted salmon and wild hare in mushroom sauce. And a lot of pickles and sauces. Yummy!

Look in the toilet, even if you do not want to. He's worth it.

The waiters are very different to whom you get. From pretty mollusks to immense fatties. Also, some will lie in front of you, the other can throw a plate on the table. This, in fact, is also part of the attraction.

Clay mugs can be beaten, and, finally, the prices for the battle of dishes are justified. In such a place, you want to drink wine from liter mugs, paw for the asses of waitresses, dance on the table and challenge someone to a duel.
