10 heavy shots from the life of a psychiatric hospital in Pakistan

Pakistan is a young but very poor and populous state. The lives of Pakistanis cannot be envied: in order to at least somehow live, most of them work hard in the agricultural sector, while many are forced to go to work in other countries. The standard of living here is poor. The difficult economic situation is affecting the medical sector of the country, in particular, psychiatric hospitals.

Venetian photographer Marilize Vigno visited one of them - in a hospital located in the city of Lahore - and captured the difficult life of her patients. The conditions in which they are doomed to exist are truly terrible and can not be compared with the lives of patients in similar institutions in more developed and richer countries.
