A rare white giraffe has been discovered in Tanzania.

The giraffe, which you will see in the following pictures, has nothing to do with Photoshop, it is real! A 15-month-old baby named Omo looks like her skin is bleached. The thing is that she suffers from leukism. This is a disorder that leads to a partial loss of pigmentation.

She was spotted by Dr. Derek Lee, founder and scientist of the Wildlife Institute, in Tarangire National Park in Tanzania.

"Omo seems to get along well with other giraffes, she is always seen with a large group of normally colored giraffes - they have nothing against her unusual color," says Lee.

“We are working with our partners to preserve giraffes and fight poaching to give Omo and other giraffes a better chance of survival. We hope that she will live a long life and she will have children.”

"Omo is the only pale giraffe we know about right now," says Dr. Lee.

"The unusual color makes Omo an easy target."
