North Korea - Pyongyang Metro

There was a little time, and I decided to continue talking about a trip to North Korea! So, on the fourth day of our trip, we had a trip on the subway. I must say that I roughly imagined what awaits us there, because the USSR was friends with the DPRK, and therefore the metro should have been similar to the Moscow one. In principle, it happened. The only thing - the cars plying between the stations are not like Moscow ones.

Externally, the station we arrived at looks like this.

And here is the metro icon.

The descent into the subway.

Sounds like Moscow? We were there during the day, there were not very many people.

Transitions.

The metro map is electronic. We are where the red dot burns. Below is a list of stations, click, and on the map with green dots the path to the desired station is laid.

Well, here is the departure / arrival hall. Please note that the station is the terminal, so the trains are at stations a little more than usual. And Koreans also have a mania for chandeliers!

Local sketches.

We went down, looked around, and now it's time to go!

The doors are opened manually by cute Korean girls, and the driver is already closing them.

Portraits of leaders hang in wagons; Koreans should not forget about them for a minute!

A smile!

Again epic chandeliers.

"Girl-door opener" expects composition, a little embarrassed to see the camera.

We arrived at the station, there are a little more people here, because the station is not the end.

And finally - a patriotic poster when leaving the subway)

A few facts about the Pyongyang metro dug up on the network:

- The entrance to the metro is open to everyone, including foreigners. Foreigners always give way!

- we traveled between the stations Puhyn and Yongwang. Puhyn is one of the deepest metro stations in the world.

- Metro travel costs 5 won.

- On excursions, the guide says that North Korean-made trains, in fact, were bought from China and Germany.

- all the tourists ride only between two stations, they say there are those who managed to ride at other stations, but I did not see photos.
