20 unique photos of what life was like in Paris a hundred years ago
Paris has always been a dream with streets filled with beautiful architecture, tourists and lovers. One hundred years ago, everything was simpler: in the summer, bathed right in the Seine, gas lanterns were burning on the streets, you could buy fresh vegetables at the metro entrance. But lovers were everywhere: they walked along the beautiful streets and parks, sat hugging on benches and watched the life of the city. The main symbol of Paris, as now, was loved by townspeople and tourists: as today, a hundred years ago people gathered on the terraces of the Eiffel Tower to admire the French capital from above. We found rare photographs of this beautiful city that will help you travel back in time and show what Paris was like in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
