The old housing stock in St. Petersburg consists of once stunning stucco apartments, huge windows, thick walls, high ceilings and fireplaces. Agree, today the majority of even very good apartments in new houses can not boast of such attributes of luxury. Another thing is that during the Soviet era, refined housing was turned into communal apartments, which affected it not in the best way.
